Working as an extension of an in-house team
After our success working on the Eurofighter Typhoon for BAE Systems, Short CGI were a natural choice to work on-site on the Hawk Training Jet 165 and 127.
Naturally, producing training materials for the world’s leading defence organization requires a top level of trust from the client, and confidentiality and discretion is absolutely assured.
We were commissioned to produce imagery and animation for use in training materials for various sections of the 165 Hawk, including the cockpit. This marked the start of an ongoing relationship with BAE Systems, which continues today.
We knew that it was crucial to the project to gain an in-depth understanding of the product, and so we stationed ourselves at the client’s premises, working closely with training experts to fully comprehend each modification. This Computer Based Training (CBT), and Computer Base Instruction (CAI) are used to train the Royal Saudi Air Force engineers and maintenance staff.
We continue to work with BAE Systems to create a range of 3D models of the jets, cockpits, engines, weapons and tools. These renders have a range of uses from marketing through to in house and customer training.
